Boys & Girls Clubs of America (BGCA) began more than 100 years ago with the mission to inspire and enable young people from all walks of life to reach their full potential.

In 1998, Microsoft joined the cause with an innovative pilot program that brought technology access to 15 Clubs around the country. The success of that pilot program led to the Club Tech initiative, officially launched in 2000 with a five-year commitment from Microsoft to provide a total of $100 million in funding and software. Today, Club Tech has the potential to reach 4.8 million youth at the more than 4,100 Clubs nationwide and on U.S. military bases around the world. Club Tech offers free software, custom curricula, and all levels of training for staff and club members. Based on the initial success of Club Tech, Microsoft has increased its commitment to $153 million in cash and software
