Spring Online with Silver Surfers’ Day (16-20 May 2011) is a national campaign promoting the use of digital technology to older people. Local authorities are asked to encourage their teams, libraries, schools, community centres and other local venues to throw open their doors and run digital awareness events to help more people get online. Council members or local dignitaries would also be warmly welcomed at other Spring Online events taking place in your area. Delivered by Digital Unite Spring Online builds on 10 successful of years of Silver Surfers’ Day and is supported by a number of Government departments including the DCLG, Defra and DWP.
