Connected Generation - exploring youth engagement in a digital age
11th July 2009 - Central London
If your work involves young people, then understanding and engaging with social media and online technologies is a must. This event is an opportunity to explore big ideas, and practical realities of weaving the web into work with young people.
Connected Generation is a one-day unConference that will provide an opportunity to explore a wide range of topics in youth engagement, from effective online communication with young people, through to using social networks and social media tools in youth participation. As with all unConferences, the agenda will be set on the day by participants, who are all invited to suggest topics for discussion and to lead sessions.
The event aims to bring together practitioners, researchers, innovators and policy makers to look back on learning and progress from the last year, and to look forward to future action.
Connected Generation is a volunteer run event, made possible by the kind sponsorship of a number of individuals, and kindly hosted by DIUS at their London Offices.
